Hey, you made it!
Good to see you.
Thanks for taking the time to check out our splash page.
Your engagement showed that you support better delivery and transportation service. (THANK YOU!) If we reach critical mass we can change the landscape of personal transportation.
Check out our plan, our website, our socials, and our forums.
If you also think our plan is going to improve (gig) delivery and transportation services, please consider joining our cause.
(Please re-post this page as appropriate!)
Numbers Matter
The reason your engagement is important is because the number of unique visitors demonstrates how much interest there is for the project.
This is especially important when pitching for investors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What's this all about?
A. DeliveryCats Cooperatives works to empower people who regularly buy or provide personal transportation services like ride-sharing, on-demand food delivery, and personal shopping. Our goal is to create and distribute a FOSS app and an organizational template that any neighborhood could use to make their own local delivery network. After all, in most communities there are some number of people who buy (and) provide these services. They shouldn't have to pay 40% graft to a middleman for the automated matching system.
Spring 2023 will see us build support. Discussion groups will run through summer. Prototype areas are expected in Autumn 2023.
Q. Who cares?
A. People already paying $10 in markups and fees should get decent service - or better! Drivers who provide good service should get more than $2.25. Local restaurants who are team players and want to grow, shouldn't have to pay 20% to mega-apps who are not team players.
Q. Is it realistic?
A. The good news is that one answer does NOT fit all. Our system is designed to be independent, with a low barrier to entry. We've all met people who couldn't find their own asses with both hands and a map. But in general we have faith in people. We've included an "organizational template" in our system as well as an open-source app. The business template doesn't promise perfection but it provides a basic outline of a successful operation. With that and meager resources, almost any neighborhood could make an honest go of it.
Q. What about bad actors?
A. Yes, that's always a concern. Local cooperatives have some advantages, like people are usually on better behavior when their neighbors are watching, and the membership system can ban bad actors. Of course haters are going to try to hate. As for DCC, our goal is to be helpful and inclusive. Although we do not have control over individual co-ops, we will aggressively distance our name and organization from haters and bad actors.
Q. Where are the solid details?
A. Ah! Details are our specialty!! Check out our interactive project outline, which helps navigate our 30-page "Initial Ideas" document. After that, head over to our discussion forums. Each part of the outline is separated into categories and sections. There's no cost to participate.
Q. What's needed to start a delivery co-op?
A. First, WE DO NOT sell franchises or licenses. Instead, with our open-source app and template, anyone or any group could start a local organization. Our Initial Ideas document estimates the minimum requirements, as an opening to the topic in the discussion forums. When the final draft is settled, we expect a reasonable number to be between $3,000-$10,000 to be comfortable.
Registration with DCC is voluntary and costs next to nothing, but we recommend legal, accounting, and insurance consultations before starting any business. Those and initial marketing are the bare minimums if started as a garage group. Further, if a scrappy group can find free consultations and do everything else by hand, they could theoretically start for WELL under $1,000.
